I shot this image with my Niecey for a contest with a theme of censorship, and what it means to you. I also made a similar image like this in black and white

! I do not yet know which image i am going to submit for the contest, however the first step is getting them in my gallery!

It was not, nor is it my intention to portray this image as a fetish! When one is censured, their rights of free speech are taken away from them, The black tape is to represent the censor and nothing more!

This image is beautiful... might I suggest to change the backdrop? It gives a hopeful feeling... which I think contradicts "censorship"

thank you! But dont you think that hope is what bites the hardest in any censorship! if all you know is censure, then there is no hope.

I actually had not thought very deeply about the significance the warm background, i wanted to make a good portrait, and obsessed about lighting it!
